Rent a charming self-catering flat in a chateau
Stay in Chateau Pardailhan for one to several weeks in a protected natural environment
in the heart of the Haut-Languedoc regional natural park, in the hills of the Herault where
you’ll have an ideal base to discover the foothills of the Massif Central.
Built around 1650, by the noble family of the area, the castle was the residence of the barons Pardailhan
until 1830. Profoundly altered over the centuries, the building consists of a central body flanked by two
towers and extended by two wings. It now has the appearance of a "mansion". The castle opens onto a park,
planted with century-old trees.
It is possible to rent the flat in the left wing of the castle by the week.
This is where the stained glass
workers of the chateau in the 19th century stayed. It later became the home of the estate manager.
Pardailhan is a calm and tranquil place. The wild and picturesque surroundings
encourage walking and horse riding: the garrigue, the chestnut , beech and fir forests all
add to the ingredients which make up an astonishing variety of landscapes.
Many leisure activities are also possible in the area: swimming,
tennis, hiking ...
The rich historical heritage of the region allows for original discoveries: the prehistoric and
Cathar sites or little forgotten Romanesque churches in Minervois ...
